    Denmark has launched tender procedures for up to 1 GW of the Thor offshore wind farm, which will be Denmark's largest offshore wind farm
    in the North Sea.

    The capacity of the project is planned to be between
    800 MW and 1,000 MW.
    Denmark opted for a Contract for Difference (CfD) competitive model, and the winning bidder
    was determined based on the offer.

    The initial stage of the process is the prequalification phase, followed by price negotiations
    with prequalified bidders.

    The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) said the deadline for submission of prequalification is December 1
    , 2020.
    It will announce the shortlisted candidates by January 14, 2021, while the tender for the final tender will be conducted
    by November 8, 2021.

    In addition to installing wind farms, the winning bidder will be required to provide an offshore grid connection, which includes the construction of offshore and onshore substations and the cable systems
    required for the connection.

    According to the plan, the new capacity must be connected to the grid by 2027
