As the government ramps up efforts to close the transmission deficit, Colombia has begun bidding
for high-voltage transmission lines in the north of the country.
The tender documents issued by the Ministry of Mines and Energy require investors to be in charge of designing, acquiring equipment, constructing, operating and maintaining the 220kV line
from Río Córdoba to Bonda.
Interested companies must submit their bids
by January 20.
Potential investors have been set for a March 17 deadline to submit technical proposals and have another five working days to make financial offers
