The Gambia Submarine Cable (GSC) revealed that the ACE submarine cable system has been repaired and internet usage has returned to normal

Lamin Jabbi, managing director of GSC, said: "We have taken immediate action and the cable laying vessel arrived at the site on Monday, January 4 to investigate and repair
it.

It is reported that the disruption of the ACE submarine cable has affected many other countries
that are also connected to the ACE cable.
The ACE submarine cable system, which connects the African coast to Europe, was put into operation on December 15, 2012, with a total length of 17,000 kilometers and a total investment of 700 million US dollars, covering more than 400 million people
.
ACE Cable is also the first international submarine cable
to land in Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Mauritania, Sao Tome and Principe and Sierra Leone.
