    Tyco Electronics subsidiaries SubCom and Google have announced that they have completed the deployment and testing
    of the Dunant submarine cable system connecting Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez in France to Virginia Beach, USA.
    And, now the system is ready for use

    It is understood that the Dunant submarine cable system has a total length of 6,600 kilometers and a design capacity of 250Tbps
    for a space division multiplexing (SDM) design with twelve fiber pairs.

    US tech giant Google has partnered with French telecommunications service provider Orange to develop it

    This is also Google's second proprietary cable system
    after the Curie cable.

    The Curie Cable, an undersea cable system connecting the United States and Chile, was launched in 2018 and commissioned in the second quarter of 2020
