    Mali's Minister of Mines, Energy and Water, Lamin Saidou Traore said recently that the Gulamina lithium mine project in southern Mali has officially started construction on the 3rd

      Traore posted on social media that the Gulamina lithium mine can be mined for more than 20 years and will make Mali the third largest lithium producer in the world
    .

      According to the project feasibility study report in December last year, the Gulamina lithium project will produce an average of 726,000 tons of spodumene concentrate per year over a mine life of at least 21 years, with an estimated peak annual output of 880,000 tons
    .
    This would make the mine one of the largest untapped high-grade lithium mines in the world
