    The Asian Development Bank has signed an agreement with Bangladesh to provide a US$357 million loan and US$7.
    5 million in assistance
    for its power infrastructure construction.

    Specifically, the loan will be used for the expansion of the transmission grid in the Southwest region, including 126 km of transmission lines from Barisal to Faridpur and 104 km of transmission lines from Bogra to Rohanpur, as well as associated substations and transformers

    The Japan Joint Credit Facility Fund will provide $7 million in assistance for new high-tech energy-efficient conductors, while $500,000 from South Korea's eAsia and Knowledge Partnership Gund will promote gender-equal and socially inclusive growth
