GlobeNet, an expert in international network connectivity and infrastructure services, has revealed plans to expand its communications network
in Latin America through an undersea cable system connecting Brazil and Argentina.

It is reported that the submarine cable system will connect Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, with a total length of about 2,500 kilometers
.

The system will contain four pairs of fibers with an initial maximum design capacity of 44Tbps
.
In addition, the cable's Brazilian landing station will be connected to Brazil's existing Seabras-1 cable, allowing direct connectivity to New York (USA)
through a fully operational Seabras-1 cable system.

According to the plan, the Brazil-Argentina submarine cable system will be put into operation
by mid-2020.
