Two parks have outstanding illegal problems

According to the inspection team, the Yongfeng County Circular Economy Industrial Park in Ji’an City, managed by the Yongfeng County Industrial Park Management Committee, has successively introduced 10 non-ferrous metal smelting, chemical, and building materials companies.

“Long Tianyong Company has illegally constructed 11 coal-fired reverberatory furnaces that were explicitly eliminated by the state for the production of non-ferrous metals such as silver and lead, and the fumes have been discharged seriously
.

” The inspection team revealed that since 2008, Long Tianyong Company randomly piled more than 25,000 tons of blast furnace slag, water quenching slag and lead-containing fumes and other hazardous wastes in production workshops and material warehouses, and a large amount of ash slag was washed and discharged into the rainwater pipe network

The inspection team conducted sampling and monitoring of rain gutters in the Longtianyong Company’s plant area and found that the concentration of cadmium in the water was 59 mg/liter and the concentration of lead was 41.

According to the inspection team, the inspectors found in the early stage that there were multiple sewage seepage pits in the Guzhen Economic Development Zone and its surrounding farmland.
The inspectors sampled and monitored one of the seepage pits and showed that the chemical oxygen demand concentration reached 9940 mg/L, ammonia nitrogen The concentration is 448 mg/L, which is 496 times and 447 times higher than the surface water level III standard, posing a serious threat to the groundwater environment

The inspection team also discovered that Fengyuan Group had piled tens of thousands of tons of fermentation waste on the ground without anti-seepage measures.

Directly ignoring government document requirements

Taking into account that the Guzhen Economic Development Zone is located in the Huai River Basin, in 2014, the former Anhui Provincial Environmental Protection Department made clear opinions on the environmental impact assessment of the development plan of the Guzhen Economic Development Zone.

There is a situation of environmental negligence

During the investigation of the Guzhen Economic Development Zone, the inspection team also found that the construction of the park’s environmental infrastructure was seriously lagging behind

According to the inspection team, the supporting environmental infrastructure of the Guzhen Economic Development Zone has not been constructed in time, and the problem of pollutants discharged beyond the environmental capacity of the park has never been solved

According to the inspection team, the Huaihongxin River is an important channel for the North-Huaishui Water Diversion Project

There are multiple sources of drinking water along the route, and it is a clear water corridor under key protection in Anhui Province .
However, the inspection team saw at the scene that the rain and sewage diversion in the park was not in place, and some companies directly connected the sewage to the rainwater pipe network and discharged it directly to the Huaihongxin River through Tuanjiegou outside the park, posing a serious threat to the safety of drinking water along the line

"In January 2021, the Office of the Bengbu Municipal Ecological Environment Protection Committee notified that many water ditches in the park were polluted due to rain and pollution.
