Abstract: Microsoft's Surface Studio commercials are a model of new shooting technology, with little human intervention using a robotic arm for full shooting. But a new
paint
ad was born recently, and it's also a successful example of designers showing robot shooting technology, and the ad doesn't add any CGI ingredients.ad was designed by two designers, McKinney and PSYOP, and it's impossible to believe at first glance that it uses only paint and water fusion to complete the entire edit. All this is due to a Phantom slow-motion camera, which is mounted in a "Spike" arm that captures the beautiful details of the paint and water's interaction in a large 400-gallon tank. It is reported that the slow-motion camera will issue shooting commands, and the robotic arm Spike can capture these commands and automatically complete the shooting. The only place that requires manual intervention is probably the team's responsibility to pour paint into the water. For the details of the work, watch the video below:
here we don't talk about the quality of paint products. There's always a huge design team behind an amazing ad, using advanced technology to program robots and slow-motion HD cameras to create ads without adding any CGI ingredients, which, it has to be said, is one of the great charms of the art of technology.
