On June 18, ZTE and the United Nations industry, academia, research and application jointly initiated the establishment of the non-profit high-power wireless transmission industry alliance (WPTA), which is positioned as the four core tasks of "promoting and accelerating industrial development, promoting standard formulation, carrying out IOT testing, and market application promotion", promoting industrial chain coordination and promoting rapid industrial development
in an open platform.
According to Zhao Xianming, Executive Vice President/CTO of ZTE, the core goal of the alliance is to promote the development of high-power wireless transmission technology, standards and industries, and build a platform for exchanges and interactions between the government, industry, standards organizations, scientific research institutions and other parties
.
Organize members to carry out research on high-power wireless transmission technology, and promote in-depth exchanges and close cooperation
among all parties in the industrial chain in the formulation of high-power wireless transmission technology standards, industrialization promotion, interconnection and compatibility testing, application promotion, and intellectual property management.
At present, the three major standards PLA/Qi/A4WP for low-power wireless charging are proposed and formulated by the United States, which makes China lose the opportunity
in the formulation of low-power wireless charging standards.
Therefore, the standard of high-power wireless transmission has not yet been launched internationally, which has brought new opportunities
for China to lead the formulation of global high-power wireless transmission standards and industrial development.
ZTE has taken the lead in applying high-power wireless charging technology to many domestic electric bus lines
.
Experts believe that the establishment of the high-power wireless transmission industry alliance will promote the development of China's wireless transmission industry, promote the cooperation and healthy and orderly development of all parties in the industrial chain, and is of great significance
to the Chinese industry-university-research group to build the world's leading wireless transmission technology and industrial core competitiveness.
