The measure is valid until August 31, 2021.
According to the resolution, the Union member Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia have issued zero export quotas for buckwheat, which means that the export of buckwheat from the above countries is prohibited .
Andrei Srepnev, Minister of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission, stated that buckwheat is of great significance to ensuring the food security of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, and that quantitative restrictions on buckwheat exports are the first to implement the resolutions of the Eurasian Economic Intergovernmental Committee.
This measure is conducive to unifying the unilateral control measures adopted by the member states of the alliance on the export of some commodities

The Eurasian Economic Commission requires Belarus and Russia to cancel their respective measures on buckwheat exports at the national level within 10 natural days of the effective date of the Commission’s resolution, and to unify the measures taken by the Union on buckwheat exports
