Recently, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will provide up to US$102 million in financing to the renewable energy subsidiary of Turkish conglomerate Akfen Holding
.
The funds will be used to develop four new wind farms and nine PV projects with a total capacity of 327MW.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Finance Corporation, the private sector of the World Bank, are minority shareholders in Akfen Renewables, each with a 15.

stake.
For the development of nine PV projects to be carried out across Turkey, the EBRD will provide loans
of up to $52 million.
The total capacity of the new solar PV plant is 85MW.
Akfen Renewables CEO said, "With the projects we will achieve, we are taking solid steps
towards our goal of achieving a total installed capacity of 1,000MW of clean energy generation by 2020.
We will continue to make new investments and potential acquisitions in the coming period, especially in the wind sector
.

for Turkey.
Our new financing supports Akfen Holding's ambition to become one of the largest renewable energy producers in the country
