On March 3, the EU's 5G network public-private partnership vision was officially announced, which involves the integration
of fiber, wireless and even satellite communication networks.
EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Guze Ottinger said the public-private partnership vision for 5G networks will also leverage technologies
such as software-defined networking (SDN), network functions virtualization (NFV), mobile edge computing (MEC) and fog computing.
In the spectrum space, the EU's 5G public-private partnership vision will also set out hundreds of megahertz to improve network performance, and frequency bands of 6 GHz and higher will also be considered

The EU's 5G network will be operational
between 2020 and 2025.
Oettinger said that 5G must be flexible and meet the needs
of various scenarios such as densely populated areas, sparsely populated areas, and major traffic lines.
At the Mobile World Congress, Otinger said that 5G networks are huge opportunities
for creating a more competitive industry, as well as (economic) growth and employment.
5G paves the way
for the digitalization of the economy.
5G networks will become the infrastructure
to support multiple business verticals.
