(People’s Daily) The Paris correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency quoted a report issued by the Vietnam Commercial Office in France that the first batch of more than 20 tons of canned Vietnamese lychees has been put on the shelves of French supermarket chains .

This is the first batch of canned lychees directly imported by Tang Frères, the largest Asian food retail distribution system, importer and wholesaler in France
    .
This is also the first time that canned Vietnamese fruits have appeared on the shelves of French retail chains
    .

Ding Quansheng, the Vietnamese ambassador to France, believes that this event is of great significance and opened up a new direction for the development of Vietnamese fruits in France and the EU market
    .

However, Ambassador Ding Quansheng also asked all companies to make more efforts to formulate a long-term development plan to more effectively develop the very demanding European market, thereby contributing to the successful establishment of the Vietnamese national brand
    .

The head of the Vietnam Commercial Office in France, Wu Yingshan, said that in order to achieve this success, the Vietnam Commercial Office in France and the Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade have maintained close cooperation in selecting companies with strength and sufficient understanding of the market
    .

Due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Vietnamese companies have encountered many difficulties in negotiating and transporting with partners.
However, with the support of the Vietnam Commercial Office in France and the efforts of Vietnamese companies, the two companies have established mutual trust and reached an agreement.
The first step of the contract was completed during the most severe period of the epidemic
    .

The promotion of canned fruits is one of a series of trade promotion activities undertaken by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to stimulate market demand and open up a sales market for Vietnamese agricultural products in France
    .
This is also part of the proposal to "Promote the direct participation of Vietnamese companies in foreign distribution networks"
    .

Prior to this, during the visit of Prime Minister Fan Myung-chung to France in early November, Vietnam had successfully held the "Vietnam Product Week" event in the Carrefour supermarket chain in France, paving the way for Vietnamese products to enter the French market and even the European market
