    , a subsidiary of China Chemical, and Zambia United Capital Fertilizer Co.
    , Ltd.
    (hereinafter referred to as United Capital) held a signing ceremony
    for a 300,000 tons/year fertilizer project in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.
    Chance, Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Capital Kabaghe, Huang Yaochi, general manager of the Five Ring Project, and Wang Jiayi, deputy general manager, attended the ceremony

    Located in Lusaka, Zambia, the project is the first modern urea project in East Africa and the first EPC fertilizer project
    undertaken by a Chinese engineering company in sub-Saharan Africa.
    The project scale is 180,000 tons/year of synthetic ammonia and 300,000 tons/year of urea, with a total contract amount of about 460 million US dollars, a construction period of 39 months, and the contract scope covers the whole life cycle management
    of patented technology provision, design, procurement, construction, start-up and other projects.
    During the construction of the project, it can provide more than 2,500 local jobs, and after completion, it can provide more than 1,800 long-term and stable jobs, and promote local economic and social development

    Zambia's economy is predominantly agricultural, with 70 per cent of the population engaged in farming and animal husbandry, but fertilizers have been imported
