Precise quantification is a prerequisite for the sustainable development of lipid histology and its application in a variety of biological and biomedical applications.
The Tax Glossy Research Group of the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was invited to write an expert review and viewpoint of the "Precise Quantitative Progress of Lipid Histology", pointing out the factors and limitations of existing lipid histology, especially in terms of accurate quantitative techniques, and the potential sources of errors that can lead to quantitative inaccuracies in typical lipid histology workflows.
, the urgent need for more rigorous use of terminology and standardized programmes related to quantitative lipid histology is demonstrated.
in the long run, quantitative accuracy essentially affects the sustainable development of lipid histology.
the paper focuses on: (1) technical preventive measures in lipid extraction that may affect quantification; (2) the basis for the selection of lipid histological analysis options; (3) the design of analytical schemes for large samples of clinical queues; (4) the criteria for accurate quantitative selection of internal targets; (5) the general workflow of LC-MRM mass spectrometrome quantitative lipid histology methods; and (6) the influence of quantitative accuracy on the sustainable development of lipid histology.
reviews and opinions were published online February 17 in the journal Biophysica Acta (BBA) -Molecular and Cell Biology of Lipids (DOI:10.1016/j.bbalip.2017.02.008).
the paper's co-author, Lam Sin Man, a postdoctoral researcher with the Tax Light Thick Research Group, and Tian He, a staff member.
