France has announced a €100 billion stimulus package to recover from
the devastation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As part of the France Relance plan, the government has allocated €30 billion
for the green energy sector.
The €100 billion stimulus package, which is a third of France's annual budget, will focus on energy innovation in sectors such as transport, buildings, agriculture and power to achieve sustainable growth
.
According to the announcement, the government will invest 2 billion euros to expand the green hydrogen energy industry to achieve carbon neutrality
by 2050.
The funds will be used to assist the company in executing projects related to hydrogen solutions and building the hydrogen industry
.
As part of the recovery plan, the government will invest €4 billion to fund energy system upgrades in public buildings, thereby reducing the country's
overall greenhouse gas emissions.
France will also invest around €2 billion over the next two years to upgrade
the energy system of the country's private buildings.
