    The meeting was the culmination
    of G20 discussions on strengthening the global health architecture and pandemic preparedness, preparedness and response.


    G20 Health Ministers Meeting Produced Key Actions to Strengthen Global Health Architecture

    While the three-day meeting broadly reflected current geopolitical tensions, G20 countries remained firmly committed to tackling global health challenges and finding common solutions

    Health Minister Buddy Gunadi Sadikin said: "Despite their differences, G20 countries are united by the same language – the language of humanity, a language
    of health without borders.
    "

    The meeting produced a technical paper to be presented for consideration
    at the G20 Leaders' Summit in mid-November.
    Here are six key actions that will advance implementation:

    1.
    Pandemic Fund
    was designed and launched on Health Track.
    G20 members will continue and deepen the work envisaged by the Joint Working Group on Finance and Health (JFHTF) and call on all G20 members to consolidate the key concrete achievements
    of the Pandemic Fund, formerly known as the Financial Intermediation Fund for Pandemic Prevention, Preparedness and Response.

    2.
    Following the completion of the ACT-A assessment, G20 countries should continue to lead the formation of follow-on entities and functions to ensure institutional readiness
    for future outbreaks.

    3.
    During Indonesia's G20 presidency, Member States have made progress on genomic surveillance, which will lay the foundation for
    continued attention and progress as a critical part of outbreak prevention, preparedness and response.

    4.
    build on the success of existing travel document systems and achieve interoperability of these systems;

    5.
    Gap analysis and description of old and new research and manufacturing networks should be advanced before the next Indian presidency begins

    6.
    Other specific actions on the G20 health agenda include a call to action to increase funding for TB; Commitment to the One Health initiative; A call to action to improve capacity
    to prevent, detect and respond to antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

    Indonesia will pass the baton of the G20 presidency to India, and member countries will work together to further discuss and work to address and strengthen the global health architecture
