    Liu Yang et al.
of the Fish Nutrition and Feed Laboratory of Heilongjiang Institute have made new progress in "Application and mechanism analysis of microalgae in rainbow trout feed", and the related research results "Effects of dietary chrysophyte (Poterioochromonas malhamensis) rich in beta-glucan on the growth performance, intestinal health, lipid metabolism, immune gene expression, and disease resistance againstAeromonas salmonicidain juvenile rainbow trout (oncorhynchus mykiss)” “Physiological response of rainbow trout (o ncorhynchus mykiss) to graded levels of novelChlorella sorokinianameal as a single fishmeal alternative or combined with black soldier fly larval meal" published in JCR Zone 1 journal Aquaculture
    .

Microalgae is a kind of small lower plants, which have the advantages of rich nutrition, short growth cycle and easy large-scale directional cultivation, which have attracted much attention in the development of new aquatic feed raw materials and have great application potential
    .
In this study, the application effects of a golden-β-glucan-rich golden algae and a high-protein chlorella in rainbow trout feed were systematically evaluated, and the mechanism of action of
the two microalgae was explored 。 The results showed that goldenrodan rich in β-glucan could improve the immunity and disease resistance of rainbow trout juveniles by regulating intestinal health and lipid metabolism, and had the potential to become a new immune enhancer.
High-protein chlorella single replacement or mixed with black soldier fly larval meal alternative feed fishmeal did not have obvious negative effects on the feeding, growth, metabolism and intestinal health of rainbow trout juveniles, and may maintain the physiological state of fish health by regulating mTOR signaling pathways and intestinal microbial community structure, and determined that chlorella could replace at least 75% of the fishmeal
    in rainbow trout juvenile feed.
The above research results provide a theoretical basis
for the optimization of rainbow trout feed formula.

The research was supported by the special fund for basic scientific research business of central public welfare scientific research institutes (HSY202104M), the national characteristic freshwater fish industry technology system salmon trout nutritional feed post (CARS-46), and the Heilongjiang Province Postdoctoral Research Start-up Project (LBH-Q20194).
