The Institute of Animal Husbandry, Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, presided over the revision of the national standard "Construction of Large-scale Pig Farms", was officially released

 

China's pig industry provides about 60% of the meat food for the people, and is an important industry
to ensure supply, people's livelihood and stability.
Since the African swine fever epidemic, China's pig industry has undergone tremendous changes, and the feeding method has rapidly changed to a large scale, according to statistics, the scale of pig breeding in China has reached more than
60%.
Whether the construction of large-scale pig farms is reasonable directly affects the health, production efficiency and surrounding environment
of the pig herd.

 

According to the new development needs, the research team of Ji Haifeng of the Institute of Animal Husbandry of our hospital has been deeply researching several different types of pig farms for many years, and has completed the standard revision work
together with experts such as the Engineering Construction Service Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the China Agricultural University and the Beijing Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
The new standard stipulates the site selection, farm layout, construction land, feeding technology, facilities and equipment, water and electricity supply and pig house construction requirements of large-scale pig farms, which has important guiding significance
for the construction of large-scale pig farms and the high-quality development of pig industry in China's new stage of development.
