News from our newspaper On December 28, 2021, "China CDC Weekly" published the latest research results "Milk and Milk Products Consumption of Chinese Junior High School and High School Students (2016-2017)"
According to the "Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents (2016)", middle school students consume a variety of dairy products (including milk) every day, which is equivalent to 300 grams of liquid milk per day
The research results were completed by the Institute of Nutrition and Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
According to Zhang Qian, deputy director of the Student Nutrition Office of the Institute of Nutrition and Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the "consumption" in the survey results is basically equal to the "intake"
Another reason that affects the intake of milk and dairy products by middle school students is that there are many types of sugar-sweetened beverages on the market.
The survey cited another set of data to help illustrate the current situation of low milk intake among Chinese residents
Zhang Qian pointed out that China emphasizes the intake of milk and dairy products for middle school students because students in this age group grow faster in height and weight, and have a higher demand for calcium.
It has been more than 5 years since the survey was conducted.
A set of comparative data from the survey also supports Zhang Qian's view
"The daily consumption of milk and dairy products among Chinese middle school students has increased over the past 5 years, especially in rural areas
