[China Epoxy Resin Industry Online] October 25, 2005: Sinopec Corp.
and Japan Mitsui Chemicals Co.
, Ltd.
signed a contract in Shanghai on October 15, 2005 to jointly establish Shanghai Sinopec Takahashi Mitsui Chemicals Co.
, Ltd.
It is reported that this will be the largest single bisphenol A plant in China to build a 120,000 tons/year bisphenol A plant.
Bisphenol A is the main raw material for the production of epoxy resin and polycarbonate resin.

For a long time, the domestic market has mainly relied on imports to meet demand.
After the Bluestar New Material Wuxi Resin Plant built international advanced equipment in recent years, this situation has changed a lot.
