The solar power facility installed in Monte Plata, Dominican Republic, which claims to be the largest solar farm in the Caribbean, plans to increase the generation capacity to 67 megawatts in the second phase
.

Developed by Phanes Group in partnership with General Energy Solutions and Soventix, the first phase of the plant includes 132,000 solar panels, which is said to be more than
three times the total number of solar panels in the Dominican Republic.
Following the completion of the second phase, there will be a total of 270,000 solar panels with an expected annual production
of more than 50,000 MWh.

The solar facility in Monte Plata is expected to provide clean electricity to more than 50,000 homes and save about 70,000 tons of CO2 emissions
per year.
In addition, the plant is expected to effectively help the Dominican Republic save fuel purchased at a high price for power generation, which has long been a constraint
on the economic development of the Dominican Republic.
