    Most spontaneous abortions occur in the first 10-11 weeks of pregnancy, and 50% of spontaneous abortions during this period are due to chromosomal abnormalities (Figure 1)

    The female reproductive tract is an open orifice, and a large number of microorganisms are distributed in the female reproductive tract, especially the lower reproductive tract composed of the vagina and cervix, forming a unique micro-ecological environment


    The formation of the vaginal microecology dominated by lactobacilli is mainly related to the level of estrogen.


    During pregnancy, due to higher estrogen levels, Lactobacillus breaks down glycogen and produces more lactic acid, resulting in a low pH environment that favors Candida growth, while elevated progesterone levels suppress the maternal immune system, so prone to vaginal microecological disorders

    In order to apply probiotics to regulate the microecology of the female reproductive tract, researchers screened different lactic acid bacteria strains with probiotic effects in the female reproductive system and made different microecological preparations
    .
    In the 1980s, Professor Kang Bai of Dalian Medical University started the research on probiotics for female reproductive tract diseases, and screened Lactobacillus delbrueckii DM8909 for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis
    .
    However, compared with the probiotic preparations that regulate the intestinal microecology, the research progress of the probiotic preparations to improve the microecology of the female reproductive tract is relatively slow
    .

    Probiotics suitable for women are mainly screened by Professor Kang Bai of Dalian Medical University from the vaginal secretions of healthy women, Lactobacillus delbrueckii DM8909 produced by Inner Mongolia Shuangqi Pharmaceutical Co.

    and Streptococcus Enterococcus produced by Xi'an Zhenghao Biopharmaceutical Co.

    Ltd.
    Both have better effects in controlling various types of lower genital tract infections and clearing HPV infection
    .
