Manatua, an undersea cable system connecting Samoa's capital Apia to Toahotu in Tahiti
, has successfully landed on Aitutaki Island in the Cook Islands.

According to reports, the system consists of a two/three fiber-to-fiber trunk with branches connected to Niue, Aitutaki (Cook Islands, one fiber pair), Rarotonga (Cook Islands, three fiber pairs) and Waitapé (French Polynesia, one fiber pair).
