According to Xinhua News Agency, a US study revealed the mechanism by which stress affects hair growth in mice, which may help overcome the problem of human hair loss.

According to Agence France-Presse, researchers from Harvard University and other institutions have found that compared with normal mice, the hair growth of mice with their adrenal glands removed is better.

When stressed, the human adrenal glands secrete the hormone cortisol, and mice secrete corticosterone.

The researchers also studied the growth of mouse hair when stress hormone levels increased.

The researchers further studied and found that the secretion of stress hormones will inhibit the production of the protein Gas6, thereby slowing down the process of hair regeneration.
