    Nguyen Thi Tiu Huong, said that the General Administration of Customs of China has agreed to start a pilot import of passion fruit from Vietnam from July 202 According to the Phytosanitary Requirements Agreement, the General Administration of Customs of China allows the import of fresh passion fruit from Vietnam through 7 ports in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region: Youyiguan, Puzhai, Pingxiang Railway Station, Pingxiang, Dongxing, Longbang and Shuik.
     
    Passion fruit is one of the tenth fruits that Vietnam is allowed to export to Chi.
    The other fruits are dragon fruit, watermelon, lychee, longan, banana, mango, jackfruit, rambutan and champign.
     
    Nguyen Thi Thu Huong said that in addition to phytosanitary inspection before export, the General Administration of Customs of China also requires that passion fruit growing areas and packaging must be registered and approved by the agen.
     
    The General Administration of Customs of China, together with the Vietnam Plant Protection Agency, will issue unified planting area codes and packaging facilities that meet the prescribed conditio.
     
    According to the results of the export pilot work, the two sides will evaluate the export situation of Vietnamese passion fruit and lay the foundation for the next step to sign the official phytosanitary protoc.
     
    At present, there are 46 provinces and cities in Vietnam planting passion fruit, with a planting area of ​​about 6,000 hectares and an annual output of 300,000 to 400,000 tons, mainly concentrated in the northern mountainous areas and the West Plai.
