At present, there are 46 provinces and cities in Vietnam planting passion fruit, with a planting area of about 6,000 hectares and an annual output of 300,000 to 400,000 tons, mainly concentrated in the northern mountainous areas and the West Plai.
Following China, the Plant Protection Bureau has issued documents to the relevant authorities in Australia and the United States, proposing to open the market for Vietnamese passion fru.
