    In order to strengthen the exchange between nutrition and chronic disease prevention and control, and improve the ability of primary dietary nutrition and exercise guidance, the 2019 National Symposium on Nutrition and Chronic Disease Prevention and Control and the 3rd Training Course on Nutrition and Chronic Disease Prevention and Control, co-sponsored by the Nutrition and Chronic Disease Control Branch of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition and the Slow Disease Prevention and Control Branch of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, were held in Shenzhen from October 31 to November 2, 2019.
    Professor Kong Lingzhi, former Deputy Director of the CDC of the Ministry of Health, Yang Yuanxin, Chairman of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition, Zhao Wenhua, Chairman of the Slow Disease Prevention and Control Branch of the Chinese Society of Preventive Medicine, Dr. Ma Jixiang, Chairman of the Nutrition and Slow Disease Control Branch of the Chinese Academy of Nutrition, Liu Kaitai, Secretary of the Nutrition and Health Institute of the Cdc of China, and representatives of nutrition and chronic disease prevention and control professionals from the provincial and municipal CDC, relevant institutions and scientific research institutions attended the meeting.

    "Progress in research related to nutrition and chronic disease prevention and control" section, experts and scholars from universities such as Professor Liu Ligang, Vice Dean of Tongji Medical College of Huahua University of Science and Technology, Professor Li Ying, Vice Dean of the School of Public Health of Harbin Medical University, Professor Li Wei, Vice Dean of the Institute of Nutrition and Health of Qingdao University, Professor Zhao Lina of the Department of Nutrition, School of Public Health, Zhongshan University, respectively, introduced the progress of micronutrients, functional lipids, nutritional supplements, functional foods and other related research at home and abroad.
    In the "Guidelines and Standards Interpretation" section, Professor Gu Dongfeng of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Professor Wang Wenzhi of the Beijing Institute of Neurosurgery respectively interpreted the newly released China Cardiovascular Risk Assessment and Management Guidelines and the 2019 China Cerebrovascular Disease First-Level Prevention Guidelines in 2019.
