According to reports, this year the Petrochemical Federation accepted a total of 491 applications for technological invention awards and scientific and technological progress awards , of which 437 entered the review stage, and 234 awards were finally awarded, with a total award rate of 47.

Among them, the creation and application achievements of nitrogen-doped carbon-supported hydrogenation catalyst jointly declared by Shangyu Xinhecheng Biochemical Co.

The conference awarded a certificate and a prize of 100,000 yuan to Professor Yang Chao from the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Professor Zhang Liqun, vice president of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, who won the 2020 Petrochemical Federation Zhao Yonghao Science and Technology Innovation Award .

The conference also awarded Ma Xiang of East China University of Science and Technology and other 17 comrades for outstanding contributions to science and technology; awarded 3 team innovation team awards including the water treatment membrane team of Nanjing University of Technology; awarded to the winners of the petroleum and chemical industry patent gold medals and outstanding awards Awarded the certificate; awarded the licenses for the newly recognized 15 industry intellectual property demonstration enterprises and 6 industry R&D platforms.

At the meeting, Li Shousheng, president of the Petrochemical Federation, summarized the fruitful achievements of the industry's scientific and technological innovation since the "13th Five-Year Plan".

"Under the background of major changes unseen in a century and the post-epidemic era, driven by both demand upgrades and technological changes, my country’s petroleum and chemical industries will enter a new era of major restructuring during the '14th Five-Year Plan' period.

The conference was presided over by Li Bin, vice president of the Petrochemical Federation, and more than 400 representatives attended the conference.
While commending advanced, the conference also set up sub-forums on unconventional oil and gas, polymer materials, intellectual property and Zhao Yonghao's scientific and technological innovation.
