Recently, the 2016 Southwest Petroleum University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Promotion Conference and the National Petroleum University School-Enterprise Integration Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance Establishment Conference were held

The "Alliance" is jointly established by 9 universities and seven enterprises in China, including Southwest Petroleum University and China University of Petroleum, aiming to comprehensively improve the innovative spirit, entrepreneurial awareness and innovation and entrepreneurship
ability of petroleum college students.
On the same day, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center of Southwest Petroleum University signed a contract with the Administrative Committee of Xindu Satellite City Industrial Park to provide the alliance with a total area of 2,780 square meters in the "Bee Cloud Valley" located in Xindu Industrial Zone, which will be built into a "Flying Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center"
.
Xindu District will provide teachers and students with more than 2,800 square meters of international standard incubators and 20 practical positions
to serve youth innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.
Zhao Jinzhou, president of Southwest Petroleum University, said that the formal establishment of the National Petroleum University School-Enterprise Integration Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance will build a platform for collaborative education between the school and the government, enterprises and brother universities, and is a new attempt for petroleum universities to strengthen ties and deeply integrate into the oil and gas industry and local economic and social development, and will promote innovation and entrepreneurship
