Have you ever seen such a color-changing window? It can automatically adjust the light intensity and color depth according to the strength of the sun to improve indoor lighting; it can also reduce the direct sunlight temperature by more than 9 ℃; moreover, this kind of intelligence The window can also achieve 100% effective space utilization.
.
.
Recently, this latest research result of the research group of Academician Huang Wei and Professor Qin Tianshi of Nanjing University of Technology was published online in Nature Communications
.
In response to this problem, Academician Huang Wei and Professor Qin Tianshi of the IAM team of the Institute of Advanced Materials of Nanjing University of Technology developed a full-frame color-changing smart window
.
"Traditional photovoltaic color-changing windows have opaque photovoltaic layers and color-changing layers side by side, which leads to low overall space utilization and low light transmittance of the photovoltaic layer
More importantly, the research team designed a method based on halogen ion exchange, in which the perovskite photovoltaic layer is immersed in a specific chemical solvent, and the ratio of each component in the chemical material is adjusted according to the length of the immersion time.
As a result, this photovoltaic layer material achieves a light transmittance of up to 76%
At the same time, this kind of smart window also has an adjustment function in the infrared light band, which can regulate infrared light.
"The color-changing smart window absorbs part of the infrared light and reduces the penetration of infrared light, thereby reducing the indoor temperature by more than 9 ℃.
It reduces the energy demand of indoor air conditioning for cooling
.
" Professor Qin Tianshi said
This work by Professor Qin Tianshi's research group of Nanjing University of Technology provides an effective method for preparing smart windows with high light transmittance, which significantly improves the optical performance of smart windows, and is of great significance for realizing full-frame high-contrast and stable smart windows
.
"After 10,000 work cycles, our results show that the average visible light contrast of smart windows can basically maintain the initial value, which proves that our smart windows are stable
