In order to strictly control the environmental risks of chemical parks and improve the emergency response capabilities of toxic and hazardous gas emergencies, the former Ministry of Environmental Protection has approved the establishment of pilot toxic and hazardous gas environmental risk early warning systems in 8 chemical parks in 6 provinces and regions since 2012.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment stated that the pilot park has accumulated a lot of mature experience in construction, operation, and application, and the early warning system built has played an important role in emergency response and daily supervision.
At the same time, there are still problems such as insufficient technology and insufficient linkage of management measures.
All localities should promote the pilot experience in depth, clarify the main body of responsibility, work hard on "management" and "use", and give full play to the positive role of the early warning system.
