Recently, Zhang Zhengbin, a researcher at the Agricultural Resources Research Center of the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Wei Benhui, a researcher at Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, jointly, found that by optimizing farming and nitrogen fertilizer application, the study could effectively improve the efficiency of summer corn yield and nitrogen fertilizer utilization by funding the project "Differences in the level of grain crop yield and efficiency and its productive efficiency" in the national key research and development plan. The findings were published online in the American Journal of Agomy. This is the second report since the 2017 issue of Soil and Farming Research to increase corn yields.
North China Plain is a typical winter wheat-summer corn two-ripe area a year, the researchers to plant summer corn as the research object, through the setting of no-till, no-till deep pine and powdered ridge farming three different farming methods, on the basis of which further set up four different nitrogen fertilizer treatment. The main research contents of the researchers include: the influence of farming methods and nitrogen fertilizer operation on the yield, nitrogen absorption and efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer utilization in summer, and optimizing the cultivation method and nitrogen fertilizer application to achieve the best yield economic benefits of summer corn.
the first author of the paper, Dr. Ni Lichao of the Agricultural Resources Research Center, said that under the same nitrogen fertilizer application conditions, compared with the other two farming methods, the yield of powdered ridge farming increased by 19.1% and 13.4%, respectively. Compared with no-till, the non-till deep pine increased the agricultural efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer and the productivity of nitrogen fertilizer by 6.5% and 6.1% respectively, while the agricultural efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer and the productivity of nitrogen fertilizer increased by 36.2% and 20.2%, respectively.
with the increase of nitrogen fertilizer, the efficiency of nitrogen fertilizer utilization is gradually reduced. By farming methods and nitrogen fertilizer, the researchers found that the highest yield was found when nitrogen fertilizer was used at 225 kg ha-1 under powdered ridge farming conditions. In 2016, nitrogen fertilizer with nitrogen fertilizer of 150 kg ha-1 was the most efficient to be used under the conditions of powdered ridge farming, but in 2017, nitrogen fertilizer with nitrogen fertilizer of 225 kg ha-1 was the most efficient under the condition of no tillage and deep pine. Through comprehensive comparative analysis of different farming methods and nitrogen fertilizer treatment, summer corn in 6000 plants / mu of dense planting conditions, powder ridge farming and application of nitrogen fertilizer 225 kg ha-1 can obtain the best yield economic benefits.
Zhang Zhengbin introduced that at present, most farmers in the North China Plain have long adopted a single soil farming model of "winter wheat season shallow rotary tillage and summer corn season no tillage", resulting in shallow farming layer, relative deterioration of soil physicification, reduced water storage and fertilizer capacity, coupled with unreasonable application of nitrogen fertilizer, seriously affecting the high yield and efficient production of crops in the region. "It can be seen that the powder ridge technology fundamentally solves these production shortcomings."
powder ridge technology was invented by the Wei Benhui team. The technology can be ultra-deep tillage deep loose soil layer and complete the task of the whole land at once, effectively resuming land and soil resources, and promote the storage of natural precipitation and the efficient use of solar energy, the formation of increased production, quality, water conservation, ecological "four-in-one" force, but also can be applied to saline land, degraded grassland transformation and fruit and wood, Traditional Chinese medicine and so on.
it is learned that in the past 10 years, the application of 35 crops in 25 provinces (including 9 provinces of saline and alkali land) has shown that, without increasing fertilizer and water, the yield can be increased by 10% to 50%. The country's cumulative promotion area of 3.489 million mu, increased efficiency of 1,987 million yuan. Wei Benhui said that the powder ridge technology for the further use of natural resources for mankind to expand a new way. (Source: Science Network Qin Zhiwei)
