Recently, the research group of Professor Long Lasheng of School of chemistry and chemical engineering of Xiamen University has made new progress in the research of molecular based magnetoelectric composite materials Relevant achievements were published in adv mater (DOI: 10.1002 / ADMA 201803716) under the title of "construction of magnetroelectric composites with a large room temperature magnetroelectric response through molecular – ionic ferroelectrics" Magnetoelectric coupling effect materials are very important for the development of new generation devices Single phase magnetoelectric materials are very rare because of the mutual exclusion of ferromagnetism and ferroelectricity For the magnetoelectric composite, the piezoelectric effect and magnetostrictive effect of the piezoelectric material are used to realize the strong magnetoelectric coupling through the mechanical transfer of the composite interface At present, ferroelectric materials are mainly inorganic oxide materials, but there is no report on the development of magnetoelectric materials by molecular ferroelectric materials Recently, using room temperature molded multi polar molecular based ferroelectrics [NME 4] [GaCl 4], our group has constructed the magnetoelectric composite [NME 4] [GaCl 4] / Terfenol-D for the first time At 39 kHz resonance frequency, the magnetoelectric coefficient of 185 MV · M-1 · oe-1 at room temperature and 275 OE DC magnetic field has been realized Design and synthesis of compounds with dielectric, ferroelectric and magnetoelectric coupling effects is one of the important research directions of the research group The research group has carried out systematic work on the dielectric, ferroelectric and magnetoelectric coupling of compounds (adv mater 2017, 29, 1702512; proc Natl Acad SCI USA 2011, 108, 3481; angel Chem Int.ed 2013, 52, 12602; appl Phys Lett 2017 , 110 , 192902; J Mater Chem.A
    2015 , 3 , 12616 )。
