Recently, the team of Professor Xia Renguo/Fang Bing, Department of Orthodontics, Department of Orthodontics, Ninth People's Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, published an online publication titled "Biomimetic Hydroxyapatite Nanorods Promote Bone Regeneration" in ACS Nano (District 1, Chinese Academy of Sciences), an international top journal in the nano field.
via Accelerating Osteogenesis of BMSCs through T Cell-Derived IL-22” research paper
    .

This study found that nanorods of hydroxyapatite (HAp) with different aspect ratios could increase the proportion of T cells in the mouse mandible and stimulate the secretion of IL-22 by T cells, which could activate the JAK1/STAT3 pathway of BMSCs.

The immune regulation guided by nanobiomaterials implanted in the defect area is a hot spot in the research of jaw regeneration and repair.
The role of T cells in osteogenesis and its mechanism in adaptive immunity have gradually attracted the attention of researchers
    .

In view of this, the research group of Prof.

Among them, Associate Professor Xia Renguo/Professor Fang Bing from the Department of Orthodontics of the Affiliated Ninth People's Hospital, Professor Duan Shengzhong from the National Clinical Research Center for Oral Diseases, and Associate Professor Li Yulin from East China University of Science and Technology are the co-corresponding authors of the paper.
Yu Fei, Lian Ruixian, a doctoral student from East China University of Science and Technology, and Dr.
Liu Lu from the Department of Orthodontics are the co-first authors of the paper
    .

The paper was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, and the Young Physician Collaborative Team of the Ninth Academy of Sciences
