The researchers found compounds that prevent colorectal cancer

Australian researchers, in a paper published in the British journal Scientific Reports, say they have isolated a compound from the gland secretions of a small local conch that not only has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, but also has important anti-cancer properties that can be used to prevent colorectal cancer.
Researchers at Flinders University, Southern Cross University and Monash University in Australia took the compound in experiments with mice with colorectal cancer and used mass spectromet technology to track bromine in the compound to study its metabolic processes in mice.
