The School of Chemical Engineering of Northwest University was founded in 1937 and is one of
the earliest chemical engineering faculties and universities in western China.
Over the past 85 years, the School of Chemical Engineering of Western University has combined professional characteristics to improve the level of schooling, continuously improve the quality of talent training, significantly improve scientific research, and achieve remarkable
results in international exchanges.

Fan Daidi, Dean of the School of Chemical Engineering of Northwest University, introduced that after years of development, the college has 1499 students, including 797 undergraduates, 583 master's students, 83 doctoral students and 36 international students

At present, three key disciplines
have been formed, including energy and chemical engineering, biology and medicine, and new chemical materials.
Among the 5 undergraduate majors, 4 majors have been approved as national first-class professional construction points, among which process equipment and control engineering is a national characteristic major, and energy chemical engineering is a national strategic emerging industry major, and the quality of talent training has been significantly improved

In the past three years, the college has published 6 high-level academic monographs, published more than 500 high-level academic papers, and approved 13 major national key projects including national key research and development projects and key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China
