    Recently, the Institute of Bees, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hunan Dasanxiang Tea Oil Co.
    , Ltd.
    and the College of Life Sciences of Nanchang University analyzed the significance and potential biosecurity
    problems of artificial introduction of pollinators on the yield of Camellia oleifera based on the new situation of the development of Camellia oleifera industry in China.

    Camellia oleifera is an important woody oil plant unique to China, with a long history of cultivation, and is highly dependent on animal pollination
    due to strict self-inbring.
    In this paper, the reasons for the yield restriction of Camellia oleifera are systematically analyzed from the ecological factors such as resource allocation and pollen restriction, and it is proposed that the pollinator restriction effect of Camellia oleifera is equivalent to the pollen restriction effect, and the artificial introduction of potential high-efficiency pollinators is an effective way to lift the conflict between the resource restriction measures and pollination ecological restriction measures and improve the yield of Camellia oleifera.
    Secondly, the advantages and challenges of artificial pollinator pollination services are discussed.
    Finally, the potential risks and control pathways faced by artificial introduction of pollinators, especially foreign pollinators, are sorted out, and a new idea
    is proposed to solve the yield and quality problems of Camellia oleifera from pollination ecological services.
    This paper aims to provide a theoretical and scientific basis for the role of artificial pollinators in the abundance of Camellia oleifera, in order to promote the healthy and orderly development of
    Camellia oleifera industry.
