The seasonal distribution pattern of precipitation plays an important role in soil nutrient dynamics in tropical monsoon forests
Under the guidance of researcher Wang Faming, Yu Shiqin, a doctoral student at the Ecology Center of the South China Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, carried out experiments on the effects of wet season delay and wet season rainfall on soil nitrogen mineralization on the field precipitation simulation platform of the Xiaoliang Tropical Coastal Ecosystem Research Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
The relevant research results were recently published in the international academic journal Science of the total environment ( IF=7.

SWC is soil water content; DON is soil soluble organic nitrogen content; DOC: DONratio is the ratio of soil soil organic carbon to organic nitrogen;
NO3--N is nitrate nitrogen content; LAI is leaf area index; PC1 is the first axis load in the principal component analysis of soil microbial community structure; PLFAs is soil micro-organisms)
