NTPC, India's largest power generation company, is planning to build a large-scale solar power park
in the west of the country.
NTPC Chairman and General Manager recently said in an interview with the media that the company is looking for sites
to set up solar power parks in Gujarat and Rajasthan.
While the scale of the planned solar park in Gujarat has been completed, the company has yet to determine the scale
of the project in Rajasthan.
The company expects to build a 5 GW solar farm
in the Kutch district of Gujarat.
The total investment in the project is about $2.
8 billion, and NTPC plans to implement the project
in cooperation with other companies.
Kutch is already home to the Charanka solar project, India's first solar power park that was once the largest in Asia

Gujarat and Rajasthan are very sensible choices
