Recently, the aquatic microbiology and feed innovation team of the Feed Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences showed that after nuclease treatment, probiotic Bacillus velezensis T23 can reduce the lipid metabolism disorders, intestinal damage and inflammation levels of zebrafish liver induced by high-fat feed, revealing its mechanism of
    action.
The findings were published in Aquaculture
    .

Metabolic diseases caused by high-fat feed are a major problem
    in aquaculture today.
The addition of nuclease-treated Bacillus velezensis T23 solid fermentation broth (T23 N) to high-fat feed was found to enhance zebrafish non-specific immunity and reduce liver lipid metabolism disorders, intestinal damage and inflammation levels
caused by high-fat feed 。 The researchers further analyzed the intestinal flora of zebrafish and found that feeding nuclease treatment of T23 could improve the structure of intestinal flora, reduce the richness and diversity of intestinal flora in zebrafish, and significantly increase the abundance of Fusobacteriota and Cetobacterium
    .
In addition, nuclease treatment enhances T23's ability to
alleviate lipid metabolism disorders and inflammation caused by high-fat feed.
In this study, the mechanism of nuclease-enhancing the probiotic effect of Bacillus velezensis T23 was analyzed, which provided theoretical support
for the application of nucleases in feed.
