Original title: Professor Jinhan He's team from West China Hospital of Sichuan University published a paper in the Journal of Experimental Medicine, revealing a new mechanism for obesity regulation

In April 2021, the team of Professor Jinhan He from the Department of Pharmacy, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, published the "Feeding-induced hepatokine, Manf, ameliorates diet-induced obesity by promoting adipose browning via p38 MAPK pathway" in the International Basic Medicine Authoritative Journal "Journal of Experimental".

The main reason for obesity is that long-term energy intake exceeds energy expenditure, resulting in excess energy being stored in adipose tissue in the form of triglycerides

In this research project, the research team found that Manf is a liver secretory factor that can be regulated by diet, and its expression and secretion are significantly increased under eating conditions

West China Hospital of Sichuan University is the first communication unit of the paper.
