In China, liver cancer ranks among the 5th most common malignant tumors and the 2nd leading cause of
death.
Liver cancer, also referred to as "primary liver cancer", mainly includes a number of different pathological types
such as hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatobiliary duct cells.
The "Guidelines for the Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment of Tumors in China (CACA) - Liver Cancer Section" involves the epidemiology, screening, imaging examination, pathological assessment of liver cancer, as well as multidisciplinary integrated treatment methods such as surgical treatment, interventional therapy, systematic drug therapy, radiotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine treatment, taking into account the whole process of rehabilitation management
.
With regard to the tertiary prevention of liver cancer, the guidelines mainly address the following
.
Primary prevention
of primary liver cancer refers to a series of measures
taken to prevent the occurrence of liver cancer by avoiding and minimizing exposure to known carcinogens or risk factors.
Synthesis refers to the simultaneous or sequential application of multiple treatment methods, such as surgery, embolic chemotherapy, radiotherapy, biological immunotherapy and the combination of traditional Chinese medicine treatment
.
Specificity refers to the use of different treatment methods for liver cancer patients with different clinical features in order to achieve the best results
.
It is precisely because of the renewal of the concept of liver cancer diagnosis and treatment and the continuous application of new treatment methods, the tertiary prevention of liver cancer has made gratifying progress
.
It allows some patients to prolong their survival time, improve their quality of life, and even a large proportion of patients have the opportunity to
be cured.
The prevention and treatment of liver cancer should still actively start from prevention, but because the cause of liver cancer has not been finally clarified, preventive measures are still difficult to achieve results in the short term, so from the current point of view, while actively carrying out the primary prevention of liver cancer, the secondary and tertiary prevention of liver cancer must also be actively carried out at the same time to save the lives
of some liver cancer patients as much as possible.
