The 1100 kV UHVDC transmission project from Zhundong to southern Anhui passes through ±six provinces (regions) of Xinjiang, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Henan and Anhui
.
The Xinjiang section of the project started construction in May 2016, passing through four counties (cities) including Jimsar, Qitai, Mulei and Hami, with a path length of 598.
684 kilometers and a total of 1109 base towers

As the starting point of the project, after nearly two years of construction, the main project of the Xinjiang section of the line has been basically completed, laying a solid foundation
for the completion of all in June this year.
As a project with very difficult construction, the builders have overcome one problem after another and written a new glory
in the history of Xinjiang's electric power construction.
