Kamlendra Singh flew back to Missouri from India in April.

When he returned to his home in Boone County, he tested positive for COVID-19, most likely due to infection with the delta mutant virus

Singh is a professor at the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine and Bond Life Sciences Center.

Using bioinformatics tools and programming, the team identified 5 specific mutations that are more common in Delta Plus infections than Delta infections, including the K417N mutation, which is present in all Delta Plus infections, but hardly any Delta Infected

"Whether it is COVID-19 before the production of natural antibodies or antibodies produced from vaccines, we have shown that the structurally dangerous and clever virus does not seem to recognize and resist these new mutations by mutating antibodies.

Singh explained that although the COVID-19 vaccine is effective, another possible tool to deal with the pandemic may be the development of antiviral drugs that target specific areas of the virus that remain unchanged due to mutations

"There is currently no vaccine against Ai virus, because the virus often undergoes unpredictable mutations
