        The US FDA conducted a risk assessment on the toxicity and carcinogenicity of calcium carbonate, and concluded that it is safe to use calcium carbonate as a coloring agent in soft and hard candies, mints and chewing gums in accordance with the limit requirements of GMP.
    And it can meet the requirements of relevant technical indicators.
     
        However, this exemption certification does not apply to chocolate, because the United States federal regulations do not allow the addition of colorants to chocolate.
     
        The new regulations will come into effect on December 8, 2017.
    Relevant personnel can submit their opinions before December 7, 2017.
