The United States lifted anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese mingfu shrimp

Vietnam's Mingfu Aquatic Group received a resolution of a complaint from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on February 17 regarding anti-dumping duties on shrimp products, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
, CBP resumed its decision on October 13, 2020 to impose a tax on Mingfu shrimp using the anti-dumping duties imposed by the United States on Indian shrimp.
CBP's latest decision allows the group to export frozen shrimp to the U.S. market without paying any anti-dumping duties, according to Li Wenguang, general manager of Minfu Aquatic Group.

Against this background, Mingfu Group filed an administrative complaint with CBP's senior authorities, requesting CBP to reconsider the move, as CBP's conclusions have ignored the most important evidence that Mingfu already has an effective traceability system and that the group's frozen shrimp products exported to the U.S. market do not use Indian shrimp raw materials.
on the basis of Mingfu Group's complaints, CBP's senior legal and sentencing authorities conducted a detailed analysis of the relevant evidence and shrimp raw materials traceability documents.
CBP believes that Mingfu Group has an effective traceability system that allows the separation of imported shrimp from domestic raw shrimp and the retrospective management of raw shrimp and frozen shrimp in accordance with the requirements of each market.
