    Philippine fiber service provider Converge has announced plans to roll out its submarine cable system for Visayas (Visayas) and Mindanao (Mindanao), in addition to expanding and improving services
    in Luzon.

    with three international subcontractors, including Korea Telecom, TE SubCom and LSI-Fibernet Konstrukt.

    Specifically, KT and LSI-Fibernet Konstrukt will deploy terrestrial fiber networks in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, while TE SubCom will be responsible for submarine cable systems
    connecting the Visayas to several other large islands.

    Converge aims to complete the fiber network project by 2021, although parts of Luzon are expected to enter service by the end of 2018, while deployments in Visayas and Mindanao are expected to be completed
    by mid-2019 and early 2020, respectively.
