On September 19, the 50,000 tons/year polyglycolic acid (PGA) degradable material demonstration project of Yulin Chemical Co.
, Ltd.
, a national energy group, opened up the entire production process and was officially completed and put into operation, marking the world's first set of 10,000-ton coal-based degradable material demonstration projects to achieve industrial production
.
The project is an extension of the coal-to-olefin industry chain, and after the project is put into operation, it will achieve zero breakthrough
in the field of degradable plastics (PGA) in China.
It is reported that the project was selected as an industrialization demonstration project of the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration's "Energy Technology Revolution and Innovation Action Plan (2016-2030)" and the demonstration project of the National Energy Administration's "13th Five-Year Plan for Coal Deep Processing Industry Demonstration", which is an important part of the national coal efficient and clean utilization circular economy industrial chain, a key construction project in Shaanxi Province, and a major strategic project
for the transformation and upgrading of Shaanxi Coal Group's coal chemical industry.
The coal-based biodegradable materials produced by the project adopt the independent intellectual property technology of the National Energy Group, and all the key equipment has been localized
.
Compared with the production of traditional polyolefin plastics, coal-based polyglycolic acid degradable materials can reduce the coal consumption of raw materials by about 50%, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 65%, and increase the industrial added value by 2 to 3 times, but the production cost is close, with strong market competitiveness and environmental protection benefits
.
It is reported that the degradable materials produced by the project can replace disposable plastic products in large quantities, and can be completely harmless in
soil, seawater and other environments.
The products of the project can not only be made into disposable tableware, plastic bags and other daily necessities, but also have a very wide range of application space in high-end fields such as medical surgical sutures, agricultural mulch film, underground unconventional oil and gas exploitation, etc.
, providing a new path
for China's control of white pollution and serving people's livelihood needs.
The project is very in line with the national new materials and new energy industry policy, in line with the development direction and market demand
of the new energy industry at home and abroad.
