    "We basically use glycosyl asparagine to form a link between two functional peptides to form a glycoprotein," explained Nomura Kota, the first author of the study


    The team proved the feasibility of their technology by synthesizing two cytokine glycoproteins


    Research corresponding author Yasuhiro Kajihara explained: "We have demonstrated a reliable method for synthesizing glycoproteins, which will allow thorough research on the biological functions of glycoproteins and the production of biologics
